Agis Apostolopoulos
Creative Designer
Agis is a creative designer with 18 years experience in both print and digital media. Agis has worked in various industries and companies across the globe including Seat automobiles, Cetelem bank and NATO. Agis has most recently been supported by Little Blue Research with design work for clients in the digital sector.
Ellie Austin
Sustainability Communications Consultant
Ellie Austin is a sustainability communications consultant, researcher and writer with 10 years’ experience advising global companies on sustainability reporting and leading complex research projects. Ellie started her sustainability career at WWF and has since worked at the UK Green Building Council and the sustainability agency, Context. In her role as Senior Consultant at Context, she managed sustainability reporting and communication projects for clients such as AstraZeneca, Jaguar Land Rover, Nokia Siemens Networks and Vodafone. Most recently at KPMG, Ellie led thought leadership projects for KPMG’s global Centre of Excellence for Sustainability. In this role she planned and led complex research projects on sustainability reporting trends, climate change, business and human rights.
Hannah Brooke
Sustainability Specialist
Hannah is a sustainability specialist who’s work with clients spans corporate reporting, sustainable strategy development and impact valuation. Hannah has also held a director position at the Natural Capital Coalition, working to scale integrated thinking within global businesses and particularly in the forestry, finance and marine sectors. She was part of the team which developed the Natural Capital Protocol at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, produced the Natural Capital Protocol Toolkit and has previous experience working as a sustainability reporting analyst. She spends her time between London and Nairobi.
Rosie Dunscome
Environmental Economist
Rosie has over 17 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant and subsequently an environmental economist, working on using valuation to integrate natural, social and human capital into business decisions. Until recently she supporting the Capitals Coalition as their Technical Director, before moving to work as an independent consultant.
Marta Santamaria
Specialist Environmental Economics
Dr. Marta Santamaria has 20+ years of experience in assessing the value provided by nature, people, and society to inform and transform decision making. Marta has worked extensively in the transformation of several economic sectors, including the energy, food, built environment and finance sector.
Previously, she was Senior Director at the Capitals Coalition, where she was leading and advancing approaches to measure and value impacts and dependencies on nature, people and society. She has been advising several leading organizations, including the Taskforce for Nature financial related Disclosures (TNFD), Science-based Targets Network (SBTN), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and G7 Impact Taskforce, as well as member of the Impact Management Platform, the Value Accounting Network, and the British Standards Initiative (BSI) Natural Capital Committee.
Silvia Ferrini
Specialist Environmental Economics
PhD in Applied Statistics, MSc in Environmental economics with more than 15 years’ experience in valuing environmental goods and services and developing methodologies to improve economic assessments. Experience in national and international research projects with governmental organizations, higher education institutes and private sectors. She co-led the Grow Colombia project, https://www.growcolombia.org/, a 6.5milion capacity building grant to strengthen the management and protection of biodiversity. She has cooperate with colleagues in Egypt, Ghana and Malawi to manage environmental resources and reduce pollution.
Lois Smith
Sustainability Specialist
Lois Smith is a sustainability specialist with ten year's experience gained both in house and through consultancy. She specialises in helping companies respond to key sustainability issues through developing strategies, helping navigate reporting requirements and creating engaging communications. She draws on her experience with KPMG and SalterBaxter MSLGROUP to balance pragmatism with technical robustness. She has extensive experience in qualitative research including interviewing and facilitating workshops with a range of stakeholders. Her strong project management skills mean research is completed methodically, robustly and efficiently.
James Spurgeon
Specialist Environmental Economics
​James is an acknowledged expert in the field and was a lead technical advisor and a lead author of the Natural Capital Protocol and an author of the accompanying Finance Sector Supplement. He is a member of the Capitals Coalition Advisory Panel and has conducted numerous natural, social and human capital assessments using the Natural, Social and Human Capital Protocols. This has included three for Roche (covering a site level natural capital assessment for their Swiss offices, a site and catchment assessment for water in California, and their 2019 Integrated Profit and Loss Account), as well as for APP, International Paper, Shell, Ten Knots Hotel Resorts, WPP and many others. He was also leader of the Natual Capital Accounting for Business Workstream for the EU Business and Biodiversity Platform, and environmental economics advisor to Prince Charles’ Accounting for Sustainability ‘Integrated Value’
